Community Association - City of Woodburn

Community Association

WCA meetings are open to the public and are held at Woodburn City Hall on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm.  We encourage anyone living or working in the Woodburn area to attend.

The Woodburn Community Association hosts several community events throughout the year with proceeds benefiting a variety of local charities.  Help from the community to host these events is much needed!

  • DeWayne Heckley, Treasurer
  • Laurie Szajna

A few of the events include:

  • Woodburn Summer Fest in mid June.
  • The 2017 Summer Fest will be held Friday-Saturday, June 23-24.
  • The Fest will include Kids Games, Live Bands, Trivia Contest & Other Adult Games, Front Street Drags, Parade, Beer Tent, 5K, Prize Drawings and so much more!

The Annual Holiday Lighted Parade & City Lighting Contest is held in mid December each year.  This year they’ll be held Wednesday, December 14th at 7:00pm and includes the Lighted Parade down main street, a Visit From Santa, Living Nativity and Warm Holiday Treats,

Proceeds from the events benefit many local charities.  Here are just a few: The Woodburn Food Bank, Woodburn Youth League, Woodburn Christian Children’s Home, Woodburn Santa Patrol and the Woodburn Community Park.

One major focus of the WCA over the next several years will be to raise funds for the installation of a Splash Pad at the Woodburn Community Park.
