2018 Woodburn Road Improvements **Update**

The City of Woodburn, by and through its Board of Public Works, intend to make improvements to Carl Street from the very south end to Main Street, which includes new curb and gutter, storm inlet castings, pavement patching, milling, and resurfacing.

Other streets receiving milling and resurfacing only (no new curbs):

• Center St.
• Park St.
• Core St.
• Hetrick Rd.

Along Carl St. There will be 5 trees that are scheduled to be removed. You may have noticed these trees marked with a red “X”. It has been determined that these trees between the sidewalk and curb are too large and may cause damage to the new curbs being installed. It is our intent to install smaller trees in their place when the work is complete.

Here is an estimated timeline for the work to be completed:

• Tree removal 07/12/18 – 07/14/18 Carl Street only
• Curbs to be removed and replaced the week of 07/23/18
• Road resurfacing will happen between the end of July – Mid August

During the time of the curb and street resurface, we will enforce a “no parking” area along Carl St. through the conclusion of the project. Access to your driveway will still be available for most of this time, however may be restricted for short periods while work is being performed at the entrance way.

We do apologize for this temporary inconvenience however, we are committed to putting your taxpayer dollars to good use by continuously improving our streets and sidewalks.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact your City Councilman or City Hall @ 260-632-5318.

Thank You
Joe Kelsey
Mayor – City of Woodburn
